Free and Low-Cost Outside Professional Development Opportunities
Welcome to the Low-Cost and Free Professional Development Opportunities page at Fauquier County Public Schools. We understand the importance of continuous learning and growth for educators, which is why we're dedicated to providing access to a variety of professional development opportunities at little to no cost.

Asynchronous PD in Frontline:
Join us for the Tuesdays @4pm professional development sessions moderated by supervisor Emily Fenner. Topics include engaging students through lesson planning, research based strategies that work, special education accommodations, and more. In Frontline, search for “Tuesday @4pm” and adjust the start date to 2022 to see the full selection of courses.
Working with ELs Wednesday:
Saralyn Aylor, ESL supervisor, moderates sessions to support English language learners. Topics include effective word walls, building background knowledge, welcoming newcomers, and more. In Frontline, search for “Working with ELs Wednesday” and adjust the start date to 2022, and select “All” under the include option to see the full selection of courses.
