We are excited to welcome students, families, and staff back for another outstanding year of learning, growth, and opportunity in Fauquier County Public Schools.

As the first day of school approaches, our teachers, administrators, and support staff are preparing classrooms, planning engaging learning experiences, and getting ready to support every student from day one. Information about student devices, internet access, digital learning tools, and technology support is available on our Technology Services page. Schools will also communicate any building-specific technology information before the start of the year.

Attendance Matters

Regular attendance is one of the most important factors in student success. Students are expected to attend school each day that school is in session. Parents and guardians should notify the school of an absence within five days to ensure it is considered excused.

There are many ways to stay informed throughout the school year:

  • FCPS1 Website: Visit the FCPS1 website for news, updates, resources, and important announcements.

  • School Websites: Visit your child's school website for news, updates, and resources specific to your school community.

  • Social Media: Follow FCPS1 on Facebook and Instagram for stories, celebrations, and real-time updates from across our schools.

  • Schoology: Monitor academic progress, classroom information, assignments, and school activities. New families will receive login information from their school.

  • FCPS1 Calendar: Stay up to date on holidays, early release days, school events, and other important dates throughout the year.
